What this project sets out to do

Deliver structured technical learning end to end — from discovering a course to completing its last chapter — on a stack that is fast, typed, and cheap to run. Learners get a clear path through video course material with visible momentum; instructors get a studio to author courses, manage content, and control pricing; administrators get platform analytics and a per-action activity trail of everything happening on the platform.

Feature Highlights

Course marketplace

The storefront: search across the catalogue, filter by category — Data Science, Databases, Programming, Web Development — and browse course cards that state everything up front: total hours, lecture count, level, instructor, and price, with new releases badged.

Accounts & role-based access

A clean email-and-password sign-in gates the platform. Learners, instructors, and administrators land in different views — enrolment, authoring, and oversight are separated by role and enforced server-side, never just hidden in the UI.

Course pages that sell the syllabus

Each course gets a full landing page — a "what you'll learn" checklist, the complete chapter list with a free-preview lesson, requirements, and description — beside a purchase card listing on-demand video hours, lifetime access, certificate of completion, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Chapter player with live progress

Learning happens in a focused player: the video up front, the course outline alongside with completed chapters ticked and a running progress bar, and each finished lesson stamped Completed — so momentum through the course is always visible.

Resources on every chapter

Each chapter carries its own Resources tab — official documentation, guides, and cheat sheets curated per lesson — so supporting material lives next to the video it belongs to, not in a course-wide dump.

Reviews & queries per chapter

Discussion is scoped to the chapter, not the course: learners post reviews and questions right under the lesson they're watching, so feedback and doubts land exactly where the instructor can act on them.

Instructor Studio

Course authoring starts in the studio: an active library of every published course with its chapter count and category, a Category Master to add, rename, or retire categories, and one-click course creation — select any course to edit its curriculum in place.

Course CMS with dual-currency pricing

Every course fact is editable in one form — title, headline, description, thumbnail, category, level, language, hours — with a live course-card preview and separate prices for India (₹) and international ($). Saving syncs the curriculum, and uploaded lecture videos are transpiled for better playback performance.

Central pricing & scheduled discounts

One pricing centre manages base prices and promotions globally: schedule a percentage discount with a start and end date, see the computed sale price in both currencies before committing, and review or cancel every active and upcoming discount per course.

Admin dashboard & activity log

The super-admin view puts platform health on one screen — students, revenue, daily visitors, active courses — above a searchable, paginated activity log recording every action with user, IP, location, and device, including flagged events like logins from new IPs.
