This Privacy Policy explains how STELEIOS ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use www.steleios.com, our learning platform at learn.steleios.com, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — your name, email address, and password when you register. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes; we can never read them.
Contact enquiries — the email address, name, subject, and message you submit through our contact form, together with the one-time code used to verify your email.
Learning data — on learn.steleios.com: course enrollments, lesson progress, video playback position, completions, and certificates earned.
Payment information — payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a payment confirmation and reference ID only; we never see or store your card or banking details.
Technical data — IP address, approximate location (city/country), browser and device information, and timestamps, collected in security and audit logs when you sign in or perform account actions.
Cookies and local storage — small pieces of data used to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and secure your account, including email verification codes.
To deliver courses, track your progress, and issue certificates.
To respond to enquiries you send us.
To process payments and maintain purchase records.
To protect the Services — detecting suspicious sign-ins, abuse, and fraud.
To send essential service emails (verification codes, receipts, certificates). We do not sell your data or send third-party marketing.

3. Service Providers We Rely On

We share only the minimum data required with the providers that run our infrastructure:

Razorpay — payment processing.
MSG91 — transactional email delivery.
Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, and security.
Google Cloud Platform — application hosting and databases.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and only to provide its service to us.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account and learning records for as long as your account is active, so your progress and certificates remain available. Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Security and audit logs are retained for a limited period for fraud prevention and then removed or anonymised.

5. How We Protect Your Data

All traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS.
Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt).
Access to personal data is restricted by role-based permissions.
Sensitive account actions are recorded in tamper-evident audit logs.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. Write to us at contactus@steleios.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your account removes your learning progress and certificates permanently.

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above always reflects the current version, and continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
